Watched "Bright Star" at the Bloor Cinema tonight. Beautifully filmed movie by Jane Campion (who also made "The Piano" - one of my all time faves), which has now inspired me to read poetry, and spend long melancholic hours contemplating love and words and life in general.

Two pictures today... mainly because the first is a complete rip off of someone else's (sorry Steph). But, I felt that seeing the CN Tower lit up in red and blue, the colours of the flag of Haiti, is important to have on this blog.

When I started this blog I thought I was committing to 365 'quality', high standard photos - one each day. However, that's bloody hard! Some days, just are not that inspiring. Then, a friend pointed out that the photos don't necessarily have to be top notch, but rather a glimpse into each day of my year. So... although I left out Day 10, because frankly, all I did on Day 10 was catch up on episodes of The Office, I decided to post a photo anyway!

Beautiful day today.. blue skies, sunshine... and bitterly cold. I am glad, though, that there are those that are able to enjoy days like this in spite of the cold that makes me want to just bundle up on the couch with hot chocolate and a movie.

This is the seating of choice in one of the fun, themed, board rooms at my work. Yup, I work at a place where where bean-bags take the place of boardroom chairs! Fun.

I keep thinking it would be difficult to find things to shoot, in the winter, in the evenings, but, surprisingly, on my way home from work, I came across 3 separate photo-worthy subjects. I actually had a tough time choosing which to post. This shot won. I like the feel of it.

New Year's Day...Woke up late, to find a lot of snow on the ground of suburban Guelph backyards. Suburban backyards disturb me. There's something wrong with having a bbq and being so close to your neighbour, you can practically hand over the bottle of ketchup without even straining.
